Bird Grotesk is a silly grotesque typeface born out of the lack of funds to purchase an existing grotesque typeface and the need to have a grotesque in the repertoire over which the designers can have full and perpetual ownership. The typeface is a collaboration between Shrenik Ganatra and Potch Auacherdkul who initiated this project one afternoon in their grad school studio.
